Negotiations Update

Jetconnect – Advocate, Mark Dignan
An agreement in principle was reached for the new collective agreement on 17 July.
Membership base meetings to discuss the proposed agreement will be held between 1-3 August, with the ratification ballot to run shortly afterwards.
Virgin Australia New Zealand (VANZ) – Advocate, Adam Nicholson
Bargaining has been initiated by VANZ with negotiations set to begin on 16 and 17 August. The VANZ negotiators are surveying their members to finalise the issues to be addressed in this negotiation round.
Air Traffic Control, Airways – Advocate, Adam Nicholson
A proposed settlement has been reached which rolls over the CEA with no changes to terms and conditions, except for a pay rise in each year.
The agreement is effective for three years starting from the expiry date of the previous CEA. Further details will be provided when the affected members have been advised of the offer in more detail.
Air Freight – Advocate, Tom Buckley
NZALPA and Air Freight have reached a finalised settlement which is proceeding to a ratification ballot.
Massey School of Aviation – Advocate, Tom Buckley
NZALPA members are being balloted in regard to Massey’s offer to settle the Collective Agreement.
Canterbury Aero Club (CAC) – Advocate, Tom Buckley
A finalised settlement is proceeding to a ratification ballot.
L3 Commercial Training Solutions (CTS) – Advocate, Tom Buckley
Negotiations commenced on 17 July. Another eight days are set down for negotiations before October.
