The ALPA Ski Fest is only a week away -.  Entries are rolling in nicely, with skiers from Hong Kong and the USA also joining us.

If you are even possibly interested in coming please enter on-line rather than just
turn up. www.nzalpa.org.nz/ski  Prior entry makes event planning much simpler for the organisers - we will not hold you to it if you don't make it

Please enter all family members and friends or guests attending individually as the dinner is limited to 100.  If we reach 100, any extras will be on standby for no shows.  They will be able to join us after dinner for prize giving at 1915. 

SOME IMPORTANT POINTS

Monday Ski Coaching

We have arranged ski coaching for intermediate or better skiers all day Monday.  Mt Hutt’s instructors will lead groups of ALPA skiers for some fun learning. Groups will be selected by ability and what you want to work on.  This was thoroughly enjoyed by all last year, and highly recommended. At $110 for 4.5 hours it's also a good deal! 

Report to ski school and pay for your lesson. Cost is $110. The groups depart at 10 sharp. 

We may be able to arrange a snowboard group is enough interest of similar ability email alpaski@nzalpa.org.nz to discuss.

Registration

• Register at the Events Desk in the north end of Café (near the coffee booth), from 0900 to 1000 hours each race day.
• Discount lift passes for cash only $45.
• Race payment with cash please to avoid delay.
• Eftpos is accepted but will take longer - you will be directed to the main ticket office with a chit for payment required. 
• Registration is required each day. Discount for 2 events will apply on second day.
  
  
  

Race

• Photo line-up at 1040 Wednesday near top of quad lift on track leading to race course. 
• Practice gates open to registered racers from 13-1500 Tuesday. No cost.
• Race Start time both days 1100 hours.  After your first run return to start line immediately for second run. 
• GS: two runs only, if you fall get up and carry on, don't miss any gates. No reruns.
• Dual Slalom: two runs only, unless you fall then one run only may be
  repeated.
• Return your bib each day at end of race track. $20 charge by Mt Hutt for lost bibs.

Prize Giving Dinner & Party

• First 100 entries only (due room available), remainder may join the party from 1915.
• Samuels opens at 1800 (please not before), Bar opens at 1800.
• Names & dinner payment at door when you arrive.  CASH ONLY
• Dinner from 1830
  • Sponsored wine
  • Fresh rolls
  • Choice of 3 mains, vegetables & 4 salads
  • Choice of 3 deserts.

• Prize Giving will be from 1915.
• Party featuring” The Hardware Department” from about 2000.

All are invited from 1915 to join the party to midnight plus.
